Research and Evaluation

The members of the KAI research and evaluation team have extensive training and experience with rigorous process and outcome evaluation. The work we do draws people together and helps communities solve problems. Taking a holistic approach to each project, we draw on years of combined experience to produce studies that are scientifically sound while remaining culturally respectful, accurate, and clear.

Each community-specific study is based on precise, validated information and is strengthened by a logical analysis of the data collected. The company communicates findings to clients in a concise and effective manner in verbal briefings and written reports.

Our skills in conducting interviews, focus groups, surveys, observations, and ethnographic research are well honed. We apply relevant techniques when using peer-reviewed journals, books, historical archives, databases, websites, and narrative information. Sensitive to the fact that tensions can exist between researchers and various communities, we work to ensure that participants’ concerns are addressed. In addition, we are adept at planning and implementing detailed process and outcome evaluations tailored to specific projects in Indian Country.
