Conference Purpose
The purpose of the 2008 IHS/SAMHSA National Behavioral Health Conference is to develop alcohol, substance abuse, and mental health treatment and prevention discussions, recommendations, and collaborative partnerships in the interest of Native behavioral health and community wellness. Additionally, the conference supports the IHS Health Initiatives and SAMHSA Health Initiatives.
Conference Audience
Tribal leaders, doctors, nurses, behavioral health program providers, substance abuse program providers, psychologists, therapists, counselors, social workers, traditional service providers, health program administrators, CSAT, CSAP and CMHS tribal grantees, youth, elders, and other concerned community members are highly encouraged to attend.
